While I do have much respect and appreciation for our country's fallen soldiers, I must admit that I didn't spend more than a minute or two remembering them today. What I will remember most about this Memorial Day is sitting on Kiahuna Beach (which is the beach at the Sheraton where Charlie & I spent our honeymoon). Luke loves the beach but is still warming up to the idea of being in the ocean. I sat with him on my lap for almost an hour in this rocky spot where the waves splashed softly on our legs and we watched the ocean and ran our fingers and toes through the sand. Perfection.
